Gods and Heroes
Gods and Heroes

Manipulate mortals. Shower heroes with gifts. Show those other gods who's best!

You are one of the Greek gods in the classical age of Greece, the age of heroes.  This is the age of the 12 labors of Heracles, Jason and the Argonauts, Theseus and the Minotaur, Perseus and the Medusa, Odysseus’s adventures (of Homer's The Iliad and The Odyssey) in the Trojan War.  Play as Apollo, Athene, Ares, Aphrodite, Hermes or other gods to manipulate heroes on their quest to ascend to Mt. Olympus and become a demi-god.  Aid your favorite hero by giving him a steed, helpful items such as magic weapons and armor, maybe even a magical chariot.
Your hero may gather treasures on his quests, such as the aid of the Pegasus.  But watch out, your Olympian colleagues can sway the allegiance of your favorite hero in this world of capricious, backstabbing gods!
Gods and Heroes is played by two to eight players who use the unique abilities of the gods they are  playing to manipulate heroes in their efforts to complete three to five labors in their quest to become demi-gods.
Along the way, heroes complete labors such as warring on a Greek city, slaying monsters like dragons, minotaurs, and gorgons, capturing a Hippogriff or Unicorn, or stealing from the Cyclopes.
When a hero attempts a quest, all the gods vote on whether he is successful, or not.  Play your cards cleverly to maneuver through the minefield of the gods'
avarice and anger.
Call on the greater gods such as Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, or Hades to help your favorite hero or hinder one favored by another god.  You will face difficult choices about which hero to back and how best to use your influence to propel them to victory.  The winner of this 2-3 hour game will be the first player who helps maneuver their favorite hero through the maelstrom of quests and in-fighting among the gods of Olympus!
